A robotic case packing system packs frozen trays of food into boxes in preparation for palletizing and shipping. This system features a user-friendly HMI, simplifying product selection and machine operation for easy operation changes.
Frozen trays entering the packing cell on dual infeed conveyors are collated and picked by a FANUC M-710iC robot.
With an end-of-arm tool capable of picking nine parts simultaneously, the robot can achieve a pick rate of 220 products per minute.
This highly efficient process can pack three cases simultaneously with the custom end-of-arm vacuum tool after flap openers prepare the grouped cases.
A vacuum plate then pulls full cases to an outfeed conveyer for the next stage of the operation. This system utilizes high-quality, robust equipment able to handle 24/7 operation.
