For years the industry is talking about automation on the production line. But most complexity starts between processes. Material flow is where flexibility is tested: different loads, limited space, constantly changing conditions. This is where we try to solve it all: Flexible palletizing beyond standard pallets with our counterbalanced forklift FL1500 Machine linking processes including the PF3 OMNI mobile robot platform Reliable operations, even in tight spaces MTC 900 Machine Tending Cart for easy machine loading & unloading Because navigating complexity in real operations means making movement predictable, safe, and efficient. This is what modern material flow looks like in practice.

Getting wafers to the fab safely is tricky business. To ensure that this valuable freight arrives undamaged, the front opening shipping boxes (FOSBs) are double-bagged in an intricate process. A Bavarian company has fully automated this complex sequence of steps, integrating two Stäubli cleanroom robots into its packaging line.
Stäubli has developed a new solution to make robot programming easier for all user profiles. From the new SP2+ manual control box, the VAL Blocks solution makes robot programming quick and easy, without the need for specific training. Robot programming is made easier with a graphic environment that contains no lines of code, but function blocks that enable simple actions to be carried out, without compromising performance or precision. It is now possible to create your own application by dragging and dropping application blocks (part pick-up, part drop-off, movements, etc.) directly from the SP2+ touch screen. This solution adapts to your use through custom blocks, using VAL 3 code, and is compatible with all Stäubli robots equipped with a CS9 controller, both 4- or 6-axis.
