FANUC autonomous mobile robot for tool change

Polytec (BM Group) is a system integrator specialising in solutions integrating robotics, artificial intelligence, process automation and software, with solid experience in the steel industry. The project to realise an autonomous mobile robot capable of moving even heavy tools with extreme precision from one machine to another involved the use of a FANUC M-20 robot. The robot is as precise as required, the integrated 3D vision system compensates for the margin of error in shuttle positioning, and the compact R-30iB Mate controller allows easy installation on board the AGV.
