For the orchestration of these workloads, Kubernetes has already become indispensable. To meet the needs of a modern IT infrastructure, we at Festo also offer this technology to our customers. In our presentation, we would like to explain the possibilities that Kubernetes offers and especially point out the advantages of running an application in a Kubernetes cluster compared to running it on a conventional virtual machine. The main benefits of Kubernetes we will focus on include: resilience, automatic scaling, cost efficiency and zero downtime patching.
