Difficult Sensing Environments - Session 1

Sensing devices and connectivity from any manufacturer or of any brand, will only perform as well as it is mounted, guarded, bunkered and protected, especially when heat, impact, industrial debris and hostile cooling/lubricating fluids can be present in the industrial environment. Many machine builders and end users that integrate sensing devices in these environments can often "boiler plate" non-application specific sensors and connectivity into their machine designs, which leads to inordinate consumption, unplanned machine downtime, and increased operating cost. In this session, we will examine some common methods used to guard and protect sensing products and related connectivity, which leads to increased longevity, reduced machine down time, increased productivity and significantly greater bottom line profits for machine builders and end user companies alike.
