6D drilling - drilling process

The latest development of LTI Motion GmbH is a magnetic supported drilling spindle with HSK32 tool interface, where the floating shaft can be deflected and the frequency, amplitude and form of vibration can be freely programmed via the CNC control. Thus it is possible to adapt chip size, chip shape, entry speed and entry angle of the cutting edge optimally to the drilling process.
