Additive PBF and CNC machining of a generative design part with ESPRIT

This video presents the Build Preparation within ESPRIT Additive PBF using external support structures generated with Simufact as well as the new assisted support structures done within ESPRIT Additive PBF. Combining Additive and Subtractive in a single environment, the video ends with finishing operations programmed and simulated in the ESPRIT CAM Digital Twin environment. Schubert Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH is one of the market leaders in manufacturing packaging machines. To grow their business and become more efficient with their grippers, they looked for a specific tool to get the ideal design as quickly as possible. Thanks to MSC’s Apex Generative Design this specific gripper’s design was fully optimized.
