Automated shoe recycling with single-arm YuMi cobot

A design student at ECAL university of art and design based in Renens in Switzerland has used single-arm YuMi as part of his sustainability and recycling project of automated shoe disassembly. By demonstrating how products can be designed with recycling in mind from the outset, this educational project presents new opportunities for manufacturers to minimize their environmental impact by both reducing waste and enabling the recovery of high-quality materials that can be used to produce future products.
