Standard modules for special-purpose machines – With SuperTrak from B&R

B&R's mechatronic transport system, SuperTrak, helped Strama MPS achieve a new level of standardization, while simultaneously providing the flexibility to respond to the needs of its customers. With independently controlled shuttles, B&R's modular system adapts flexibly to different throughput requirements and product dimensions and can easily be expanded with additional shuttles and track segments. This enabled Strama to define standardized machine modules that can easily be combined into a complete system according to each customer's requirements. SuperTrak's compact design allowed Strama to achieve high processing density on a very small footprint. In the cleanrooms where Strama's lines are often used, every square centimeter of floorspace that can be saved is especially valuable.
