ABB Collaborative Robots – Preparing the next generation of Italian engineers

ABB Robotics has collaborated with higher school and technical institutes in Italy to train the young engineers in the key principles and operation of robotics and cobots. More than 100 secondary schools in Italy are supported by ABB to conduct courses in robotics, one such school ITT Marconi considers YuMi as the preferred collaborative robot for training purposes. The compact design of the robot coupled with YuMi’s ability to work safely alongside people without the need for additional safety measures such as fencing, make them ideal for use in teaching environments
