The linear rails in the X-Rail family are self-aligning ones with bearings that offer an excellent price-performance ratio. The breadth of the Rollon range in terms of both sizes and materials makes it particularly versatile and suitable for many fields of application. One of the advantages of bearings is that it’s possible to adjust the preload of the slider on the rail; in other words, the sliding profile can be adjusted at any time to best adapt it to the application. At Automatica, we presented the new Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU) to the public for the first time. Andreas Kaiser, Rollon’s Actuator Business Sales Manager, explains the new solution for the industrial automation. Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU) is a turnkey solution system that increases the UR robot’s productivity by extending its operating range, by enabling the cobot to be transferred over more than 5m. It has been tested and certified by Universal Robots A/S to easily integrated with their UR3e, UR5e, UR10e, UR10CB and UR16e cobots. Rollon CTU comes as a plug and play kit which can be installed and put into operation in few steps. It includes: axis, motor, drive, pre-selected gearbox, energy chain with cables, Rollon electrical cabinet, sensors, High-Flex cable and Rollon URcap software.
